Jennifer’s first appearance in an opera was at 14 years old as Flora in Britten’s Turn of the Screw at Peabody Opera Theater. She continued her operatic studies at the Peabody Conservatory of the John Hopkins University studying with world-renowned Phyllis Bryn-Julson, and graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Music in Voice.

In 1992 Jennifer received her Masters of Music from Towson University where she studied voice with Ruth Drucker. After completing her degree, Jennifer pursued her two interests, performing and teaching. She has been a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing since 2010.

During her studies, Jennifer completed ten years of music theory. Since her other interest is performing, she focused on theater while at Towson University and then went on to pursue studies at the Studio Theater in D.C. with Serge Seiden. Jennifer also focused on monologue work with Rick Fiori.

Jennifer has appeared in more than 40 productions in the Baltimore/D.C. area with lead roles in West Side Story, Carousel, Sound of Music, Oklahoma, and Guys & Dolls, to name a few. Notably, she performed in Where’s Charley? at the Kennedy Center.
